We are proud to present this project, which was presented for the first time at the Craft Bike Days 2024: the SENDuro CF.
As a project partner, MEB Carbon took on the design and production of the entire main frame, while we contributed the tried-and-tested geometry and kinematics concept of the SENDuro. The frame was initially combined with the aluminum SENDuro rear triangle.
The hybrid design of carbon tubes and aluminum milled parts enables maximum flexibility in production and geometry changes and allows us to benefit from the weight savings of carbon without expensive mold construction costs. In addition, aluminum alloys can be used that do not have to be weldable and have a very high strength.
In future, the rear triangles will also be manufactured using this hybrid construction method.
The specially developed bonding system guarantees a very high degree of process reliability. This ensures that the exact amount of adhesive required produces the joint without air pockets.
We will be happy to accommodate requests for stiffness (within the minimum permissible strength) and offer more flex for light riders and less flex for heavy riders. Our idea: There are 3 different options to choose from to fit into a rider weight range and thus acquire the right stiffness for an ingenious trail experience and maximum efficiency.
Furthermore, we want to revolutionize crack replacement in the future by replacing broken tubes with new ones without having to repair or completely replace the frame with patches.
Many thanks to Actofive and mtbnews for the great pictures!!!
